Vladimir Volkov, the head of Mordovia, has charged the agrarians of the republic to collect at least 1 million 100 thousand tons of sugar beet this year.

Prices for commodities in the category sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and sweets, have decreased by 0.5% in Russia in February 2017 compared to the previous month, Rosstat reports.
UKRAINE
In January-February 2017, the national seaports have handled 15.18 thousand tons of sugar for export (-39.3% compared to 2016 season), the Administration of Seaports of Ukraine (AMPU) reports. Transshipment of sugar was carried out in the Odessa seaport.
