RUSSIA
The capacity of Russian sugar industry ensures total processing of all of the national sugar beet harvest and meets the demand for sugar from the population and industry. By 2020 it is planned to increase the capacity by another 18% to reach DC on beet up to 419 thousand tons. Further commissioning of the processing capacity of the existing sugar mills and / or construction of new ones will lead to the unprofitability or losses for sugar beet and sugar manufactures, and, if in case of state support, its inefficient use. This year, Russia is expected to achieve the highest level of sugar production of 6.0 million tons. Taking into account the supply of up to 250 thousand tons of Belarus sugar, carryover stocks at the beginning of 2017 will amount to 4.6 mln MT, which is enough not only for domestic Russian demand for sugar, but the commodity exports of more than 500 thousand tons, informs "Soyuzrossahar".

UKRAINE
Yareskivsky sugar factory ("Astarta-Kiev") has finished the sugar production season; total volume of sugar beet processed has made 470 thousand tons and sugar production volume has made 70 thousand tons. According to Victor Ivanchik, general director of "Astarta-Kiev", this year the company has processed 3.5 mln. MT of sugar beet and produced about 500 thousand tons of sugar.

Gross harvest of sugar beet in the Kharkov region has increased by 2.1 times compared to the previous year and was 1.1 mln tons. Yields of the crop increased by 15.18 MT/ha and is 50.56 MT/ha – accordin to the Department of Agricultural Development Region.

From the beginning of the season sugar mills in Vinnitsa region of Ukraine have accepted for processing 2818,8 thousand tons of sugar beet including 2742,1 thousand tons processed with 425,5 thousand tons of sugar produced. The volume of beet remaining to be processed makes about 100 thousand tons.
KYRGYZSTAN
LLC "Inkotes" bought 20.02% of the authorized capital of OAO "APROSAM" – owner of Kara-Balta sugar factory –from the "Caribbean Sugar", according to the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange.
