RUSSIA
From the beginning of the season and by December 13 the sugar factories of Tatarstan have received 1717,8 thousand tons of sugar beet, including 1571,5 thousand tons processed; the volume of sugar produced has made 230,976 tons, sugar production yield - 14.4%, according to Ministry of Agriculture of Tatarstan.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, by December 12, 2016 sugar beet was collected from the area of 1095,3 thousand ha or 98.6% of the crop area.

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated December 13, 2016, total 42 vessels have been nominated to carry 1429650 mt of raw cane sugar in 2016 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 1191800 mt from 35 vessels, based on Sugar.ru data.
UKRAINE
Following the liquidation of state agrarian inspections, certification of seeds is suspended for the period from December 5, 2016 to early February 2017, which represents a threat and may disrupt the spring sowing campaign in 2017, says an open letter to the participants of the seed market in the name of Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman.

In Vinnitsa region sugar mills fail to process the beets before the New Year, according to Ukrtsukor. It is expected that next year the sugar beet acreage will increase by 5 thousand hectares, which will require the launch of two more plants in addition to six factories operating this season.
KYRGYZSTAN
According to the national Statistics Committee, the consumer prices for refined sugar decreased by 0.5% in November 2016; from the beginning of 2016 – by 2.8%, and the annual calculation basis (vs. November 2015) shows decrease of1.3%.
MOLDOVA
In November of 2016 the consumer prices for sugar increased by 1.3% from the beginning of the year - by 8.9%, while in annual terms (November 2016 to November 2015..) - by 9.5%, according to the national Statistics Committee.
BELARUS
According to the national Statistics Committee of Belarus, in November 2016 the average consumer price of sugar is was to 17356 Bel. rubles per 1 kg. (RUR 54.69/kg at the current rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation).
