RUSSIA
In 2016 in Russia will be produced 5.6 million tons of sugar when consumed 5.6 million tons. It means that, taking into account sugar imports from Belarus, Russia's sugar export potential is 350 thousand tons, claims Andrey Bodin the Chairman of the Board of Soyuzrossakhar.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, by December 01, 2016 sugar beet was collected from the area of 1.0876 million hectares, or 97.9% of the crop area in Russia. Bulk harvest makes 50.7 million tons, the average field yield makes 46.62 MT/ha.

According to railway monitoring data by Sugar.Ru, in November 2016 Russia has exported 29.1 thousand tons of white sugar. Totally, in 11 months of 2016 Russia has exported 60 thousand tons of white sugar (in 2015 – 6.6 thousand tons). Half of that volume went to Kazakhstan, 29% - in Tajikistan, the largest exporter was Uspensky sugar factory by 22.6 thousand tons. The current pricing environment allows sugar exports to the regions that could independently cover its own sugar demands, for example, to Azerbaijan, where were delivered 6.1 thousand tons of sugar in November.
CUSTOMS UNION
The duty on import of raw sugar to the Customs Union will remain at US$ 140/MT in December 2016. The average monthly price for raw sugar at the stock exchange «The ICE» in November was US$ 460.06/t, respectively, in January 2017 the fee will remain at the same US$ 140/ton.
KAZAKHSTAN
According to the national statistic committee, the price for sugar from producers has increased by 1.2% in November 2016. From the beginning of the year, the price of sugar from producers has increased by total 19.8%.
UKRAINE
Agricultural enterprises of Ukraine have traded 139.3 thousand tons of sugar in October, which is 140.5% more than in September 2016. In January-October, the agricultural enterprises have sold 461 thousand tons of sugar, which is 42.5% less than during the same period in 2015.
