RUSSIA

According to the analysis of the FCS customs declarations, in October 2016 Russia has exported 217,300 tons of pulp to countries outside the Customs Union. By the end of 10 months the total export of pulp from Russia has reached 728 300 tons (in 2015 - 590.2 thousand tons; in 2014 - 476.2 thousand tons). In the period observed the major importers of pulp from Russia are Latvia (30.71%) and the Netherlands (24.39%). The largest Russian exporters of pulp in 10 months are "Trade House Dominant" (8.91%) and "Trade House Sodruzhestvo" (7.11%).

KAZAKHSTAN

According to the draft State Program of development of agrarian and industrial complex for the period 2017-2021 (introduced by the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan), it is planned to reach the following results by the year 2021:

  • to increase the production of sugar beet by 1074 tons;
  • to increase the production of sugar by 107 thousand tons.;
  • to reduce the import of sugar from 185 to 75 thousand tons.

ARMENIA

In October 2016 Armenia has imported 551.4 tons of sugar and raw sugar (HS code 1701) for the total value of $ 373.6 thousand; 113.9 tons of other sugars (HS code 1702) for the total value of $ 79.6 thousand; and 357 tons of molasses (HS code 1703), for the total value of $ 66.1 thousand, according to the Armenian statistic committee.
