According to the Ministry of Agriculture, sugar beet was harvested from the area of 1030.2 thousand hectares (92.8% of total) by November 11, 2016. Bulk harvest makes 47.5 million tons with the average yield 46.14 MT/ha.

The wholesale price of sugar decreased by 2.2%, retail - by 0.6% from November 1 to November 7, 2016 reports the Ministry of Agriculture.
TURKMENISTAN
The Balkan and Mary provinces of Turkmenistan have harvested about 21.5 thousand tons of sugar beet from 1100 hectares, local media reported.
UKRAINE
The price of sugar in the Ukrainian capital increased by 5.2% – up to UAH 15.31/kg – as of November 10 compared to October 31, 2016. According to state statistics, sugar price rallied by 5.2%in Kiev and by 4.5%in Ukraine in the first ten days of November,.

According to the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, sugar imports (HS code 1701) made the value of USD 19,470 thousand, the export of sugar - USD 111,227 thousand in 10 months (January - October) of 2016.
