RUSSIA
The volume of imports of sugar from non-CIS countries has made US$ 21.0 million in October 2016, according to the Federal Customs Service of Russia. In September the imports of sugar from non-CIS countries amounted to US$ 27.1 million.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 1.0 million hectares, or 90.8% of the crop area by November 7, 2016.

From the beginning of the season the sugar mills in Tatarstan has produced the following volumes of sugar: Zainsky - 91.17 thousand tons; Buinsky - 44.49 thousand tons, Nurlatsky- 19,11 thousand tons, according to local Ministry of Agriculture.

Sugar industry of Krasnodar region has manufactured 1 million tons of white sugar from sugar beet crop 2016, according to the regional Ministry of Agriculture.

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated November 8, 2016, total 36 vessels have been nominated to carry 1 218 600 mt of raw cane sugar in 2016 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 1 118 400 mt from 33 vessels, based on Sugar.ru data.
UKRAINE
By November 7 the country has processed 8.17 million tons of sugar beet. From the start of production season the volume of sugar produced has reached 1,198,700 tons, according to "Ukrtsukor".
BELARUS

As of November 8, 2016, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 90 100 ha (95.5%). Bulk harvest makes 3,982,400 tons (in 2015 – 3.2161 million tons) with yields of 44.19 MT/ha (in 2015 – 33.39 MT/ha). Sucrose content makes 17.3% average compared to 16.64% on the same date last year, the Ministry of Agriculture reported.
KAZAKHSTAN

According to railway monitoring data by Sugar.Ru, in 10 months of 2016 Kazakhstan has received 124 000 tons of white sugar (in 2015 – 349 000 tons) by rail transit Russia. Major suppliers of white sugar to Kazakhstan are Ukraine (33.5%) and Poland (29.4%). The main supplier of transit sugar is Zaselsky sugar factory (25.1%).
