RUSSIA

According to the analysis of the FCS customs declarations, Russia imported from countries outside the Customs Union, 13 900 tons of raw sugar in September 2016. In the first 9 months the imports of raw sugar to Russia amounted to 152,700 tons (in 2015 - 251.3 thousand tons, in 2014 - 414.3 thousand tons).
 

UKRAINE

By October 24, 2016 Ukraine has collected sugar beets from the area of 179 thousand ha or 61% of the plan. Bulk harvest has reached 8.4 million tons (in 2015 – 6.0 million tons) including 7.6 million MT delivered to sugar processing facilities, according to Ministry of Agrarian Policy. According to "Ukrtsukor", from the beginning of the season and by October 27 the sugar factories of Ukraine have received 7.51 million MT of sugar beet and have produced 941 400 tons of refined white sugar.

BELARUS

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the country has harvested 76.5 thousand ha of sugar beet crops (or 81.1% of the total crop acreage) by October 28, 2016. The average yield in the country makes 43.26 MT/ha (in 2015 – 32.16 MT/ha) with the sucrose content in harvested beets is average 17.31% (vs. 16.76% in 2015). Sugar factories have processed 2,028,500 tons of sugar beet from which they have produced 302,400 tons of white sugar. Last year on same day the volume of beet processed was 1 704.0 thousand tons with 233,900 tons of sugar produced.
