RUSSIA
According to Soyuzrossakhar, Russia has harvested 868.0 thousand hectares (78.2% of crop area) of sugar beet by October 25; bulk volume collected makes 39.0 million tons at an average yield of 44.9 MT/ha.

According to the analysis of FCS customs declarations, in September 2016 Russia has imported 4.1 thousand tons of white sugar from countries outside the Customs Union, thus, in the first 9 months total imports made 34.7 thousand tons (in 2015 - 41.0 thousand tons, in 2014 - 87.8 thousand tons). In September 2016 Russia has exported 8.5 thousand tons of white sugar countries outside the Customs Union, thus, the total of 9 months is 10.3 thousand tons (in 2015 - 1.9 thousand tons, in 2014 - 7.0 thousand tons).
UKRAINE
Sugar factory "Tsukrove" in Kharkov region has resumed operation after a four-year break, following 5 million hryvnia of investments in the modernization of the plant.

On October 25 the wholesale selling price of sugar was UAH 13.80-14.00/kg (33.46-33.94 RUR/kg), which practically corresponds to the levels of previous week. Ukraine has produced 894.6 thousand tons of sugar with 41 sugar factories operating on report day. Total volume of sugar beets processed makes 6.14 million MT, according to "Ukrtsukor".
BELARUS
Sugar stocks at industrial enterprises amounted to 97,700 tons as of October 1, 2016, which is 9.5 times higher than it was on September 1, 2016, according to the statistic committee.

Yields of sugar beet as of October 25 are almost 11.5 MT/ha higher compared to 2015 season and reach 43.01 MT/ha. The area of sugar beet harvested makes 73 200 hectares, which is 77.6% of the crop acreage. Sucrose content is 17.3% national average and is 0.46% higher than last year.
