RUSSIA
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, sugar beet was collected from the area of 726.8 thousand ha or 65.5% of the crop acreage by October 18, 2016 (in 2015 - 724.6 thousand hectares). Bulk harvest makes 32.3 million tons (in 2015 - 27.8 million tons), while the average yield is 44.37 MT/ha (in 2015- 38.40 MT/ha).
AZERBAIJAN
Group «Azersun Holding» company is planning to conduct IPO for 30-40% of shares of "Azerbaijan Sugar Production Association". IPO is planned for both: the London Stock Exchange and the Baku Stock Exchange. The main asset of the association is Imishli sugar plant with annual capacity of 700 000 tons.
BELARUS
According to the statistic committee, the total volume of 186 000 tons of sugar (less by 4.9% than in 2015) for the total value of US$ 99 686 000 was exported from Belarus to Russia.
UKRAINE
As of October 18 the Ukrainian sugar refineries have processed 5.05 million MT of sugar beet from the start of production; the volume of beet sugar produced has reached 731.8 thousand tons, according to "Ukrtsukor".
