The key reasons for the decline of the sugar market are: low domestic demand and sale of commodity by the Agrarian Fund at prices below market (as low as UAH 11800/MT). Under such pressure wholesale prices have decreased by 0.39% in the past week and dropped to the range of UAH 12500- 12800/MT. The main reasons for the declining interest of buyers – achievement of maximum (since July 2014) levels at the stock exchange and CFTC data on record net long positions at the New York Mercantile Exchange.
