RUSSIA

"Rusagro" Group expects to receive from "Razgulyay" at least 13.9 billion rubles for the assets sold by the end of June, of which 12.5 billion rubles have already been transferred, said Maxim Basov, the general director of "Rusagro" .

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the wholesale price of sugar has increased by 3%, retail – decreased by 0.2%, in the period from May 5 to 10, 2016.

Republic of Tatarstan is nearing completion of sugar beet sowing campaign; the acreage sown with the crop makes 63 thousand ha (99.3%) as of May 23.

In the first quarter the sales of GC "Rusagro" in sugar segment accounted for 5.877 billion rubles; gross profit – 2.783 billion rubles; operating profit – 2.094 billion rubles. At the end of three months of 2016 the volume of sugar sales totalled 125 000 tons at an average price of RUR 44/kg (excluding VAT).

The auction for the right to claim "Kubansky sugar" LLC as well as other property of the company is recognized to be failed due to lack of applications.

UKRAINE

Oleg Lipovoy, acting head of the state special budget institution Ukrainian Agrarian Fund, the one who helped to uncover the criminal theft of sugar scheme frm the Agrarian Fund warehouses, was suspended from work.

As of May 20, 2016 sugar factories in Ukraine sell sugar at wholesale price of UAH 12.50-12.95/kg, according to "Ukrtsukor". Compared to last week the minimum price fell by UAH 0.15/kg, while the maximum – UAH 0.05/kg.

KYRGYZSTAN

The average retail price of sugar was 50-52 soms per 1 kg in the markets of Bishkek in the period from May 12 to May 19, 2016, and compared to previous week, the average retail prices remained unchanged, according to the Ministry of Economy.
