RUSSIA
According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated May 17, 2016, total 18 vessels have been nominated to carry 618400 mt of raw cane sugar in 2016 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 336800 mt from10 vessels, based on Sugar.ru data.
UKRAINE
According to figures by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine for 4 months (January - April) 2016, sugar imports (HS code 1701) made $ 18.9 million. Almost all imports have been performed in March ($ 18.8 million) in April – for only $ 70 000. Exports of sugar amounted to $ 18 million in 4 months, in April - $ 2.8 million (March - $ 15.2 million). After the end of the beet season the export of molasses (HS code 1703) dropped to almost zero, out of $ 1,569 thousand gained in 4 months in 2016, just April has brought $ 33 000.
