RUSSIA

Kirsanovsky sugar plant, owned by GC "ASB", started the production modernization. It is planned to increase the capacity of the enterprise by 5 times and achieve to 20 thousand tons of sugar beet processing per day, writes Tambov media.

In the Ulyanovsk region bulk harvest of sugar beet makes 403 thousand tons in 2015, from that amount will be produced about 60 thousand tons of sugar, reports the regional Ministry of agriculture.

According to the analysis of FCS customs declarations conducted by Sugar.Ru, in November 2015 Russia imported, 5.7 thousand tons of white sugar from countries outside the Customs Union. By the end of 11 months the volume of white sugar imports to Russia has reached 52.6 thousand tons (in 2014 - 97.5 thousand tons, in 2013 - 57.3 thousand tons).

In the period January - November 2015, the main countries for sugar exports to Russia were Poland (33.57%) and Lithuania (28.17%). The largest importers of white sugar in 11 months are "Megabalt" (27.25%) and "Rostrading" LLC (20.25%).

In November 2015 Russia has exported 43 tons of white sugar to countries outside the Customs Union. By the end of 11 months the export of white sugar from Russia has made total 3.8 thousand tons (in 2014 - 7.2 thousand tons, in 2013 – 2.9 thousand tons).

In the period January - November 2015 the main countries importing white sugar from the Russian Federation were Jordan (43.48%) and Ukraine (26.42%). The largest exporters of white sugar in the first 11 months of the year are the company "Altai Flour Mills" (43.48%) and "Valuykisahar" (10.04%).

 
UKRAINE

Retail sugar trade turnover of enterprises amounted to UAH 1 776 332 900 in the nine months of 2015 (which is about RUR 5 380 million at the current rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation), the State Statistics Service of Ukraine has reported.
KAZAKHSTAN

In Kazakhstan, the sugar sellers in Aktobe under the court decision will pay fines in the amount of 6.9 million tenge, after the antitrust authority has addressed to the court, accusing sellers in "unjustified price increases".
