According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russian Federation, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 991.7 thousand hectares (97.6% of total acreage) by November 19, 2015. Bulk volume collected makes 37.6 million tons, with yields of 37.95 MT/ha. Wholesale price of sugar increased by 0.3%, retail price decreased by 0.4% during the week November 10 to 16.
According to the Union of Sugar Producers of Russia, the country has processed 25 683 thousand tons of sugar beet (8.4% more than in the same period in 2014), in current marketing year by November 16, 2015. The volume of refined sugar production has made 3831 thousand tons (up by 8.5% compared to the same period of 2014).
According to the Stavropol regional department of agriculture, the region has completed harvesting of sugar beets on November 20, 2015. The area harvested has made 34.1 thousand hectares (100.0% of the plan), bulk volume collected – 1731.4 thousand tons with an average yield of 50.71 MT/ha. JSC "Stavropolsahar" was supplied with 455.2 thousand tons of sugar beet for processing; including the volume of already processed beets of 441.6 thousand tons. Sucrose content from the beginning of harvest makes average 15.6%.

 
According to the figures issued by the Eurasian Economic Commission:
 

• Imports of sugar and raw sugar (HS 1701) to the CU countries have made 1,049,224 tons for the total of US$ 427,890.7 thousand (82.9% over the same period of the previous year). The main exporters of raw sugar are Brazil (603 thousand tons) and Cuba (212 thousand tons).
• Import other sugars (HS 1702) has made 89,464 tons for the total of US$ 66,324.4 thousand (77.2% over the same period of the previous year).
• Imports of molasses (HS 1703), has made 1095 tons, sugar confectionery (HS 1704) - 54696 tons of water with sugar (HS 2202) - 104 235 073 litres;
• Sugar exports (HS 1701) has made 13,951 tons worth US$ 8178.5 thousand (77.4% over the same period of the previous year).
• Export other sugars (HS 1702) has made 6001 tons, molasses (HS 1703) - 249392 tons, sugar confectionery (HS 1704) - 27995 tons of water with sugar (HS 2202) - 97,985,273 litres.

Sugar factories in Ukraine have produced 1 130.5 thousand tons of sugar by November 19 (in 2014 - 1.621 million tons of sugar), Ukrtsukor reported. From the beginning of production season the plants were supplied with 8.39 million tons of sugar beet – down from 12.68 million tons in the previous year (by the same date).
