RUSSIA
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Russia has seeded with sugar beet an area of 1009.4 thousand ha by June 2, 2015 or 103% of the forecast (in 2014 – 912.4 thousand ha).

UKRAINE
The holding company of "Astarte" – the largest sugar producer in Ukraine, continues share buyback program, according to the Warsaw Stock Exchange. In the period May 25 to 29 the company has bought back 37,324 of its shares (about US$ 258,700).
KAZAKHSTAN
According to the Kazakh Statistics Agency, the prices for sugar from manufacturers rose by 3.3% in May 2015 compared to the previous month; from the beginning of the year the prices have decreased by 4.9% (vs. December 2014).

According to the Customs Control Committee of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan imported over 39,000 tons of sugar in the solid state (HS code 1701) in January-April 2015, which is 43.4% less than in January-April 2014. The total cost amounted to US$ 22.97 million. In April, imports of sugar in the solid state (HS code 1701) amounted to 11,310.5 tons, worth 6.282 million US dollars.
