RUSSIA

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Russia has sown sugar beet on an area of 1,007,400 hectares by June 1, 2015, or 102.8% of the forecast (in 2014 – 912,400 hectares).

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated June 2, 2015; total 13 vessels have been nominated to carry 446450 MT of raw cane sugar in 2015 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 362950 MT from 10 vessels, based on sugar.ru data.

 

UKRAINE

According to the quarterly report of the holding company "Kernel", sugar division has provided "Kernel" with revenue of US$ 717 thousand in the first quarter of 2015. The total cost of the sugar company assets has made US$ 9,993 thousand by the end of March. The company carries out a plan to get rid of sugar business, and following which it sells all ‘sugar’ assets and sugar carryovers in warehouses, produced in 2012 and 2013 FY. As of today, assets of LLC «Palmira Sugar» remain still unsold.

KAZAKHSTAN

According to the Agency for Statistics, consumer prices for sugar increased by 0.5% in Kazakhstan in May 2015. From the beginning of the year the consumer price of sugar fell by 8.2%.
