The Ministry of Agriculture will be ready to buy grain and sugar for the renewed state fund as soon as this autumn, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut has annouonced. It is planned to create a sugar stock of 250 thousand tons. Today the selection of insurance organizations and custodians of the state fund is underway.
BELARUS
According to the National Statistical Office, consumer prices for granulated sugar in the country increased by 0.07% in January 2022 (compared to the previous month). The average consumer price for granulated sugar was 1.70 Bel rub/kg in January (50.29 rubles / kg at the average exchange rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation for January 2022).

A social price discount on a number of goods, including sugar, has already been introduced by 17 retail chains in Belarus, according to Mr. Bogdanov, the Minister of Trade.
