Farmers in the Stavropol Territory have started harvesting sugar beets. The beet yield is 50.0 MT/ha. Such yields may result in total harvest in the range of 1.5-2 million tons. The sugar factory in Izobilnensky District has already processed 12 thousand tons of the new crop.

Sugar beet harvesting has begun in Tatarstan. During the day, 76 hectares of sugar beets were harvested; average yield has made 23.0 MT from hectare. The Zainsky sugar plant has begun accepting beets; the sugar content is over 19%.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, as of August 23, 2021, sugar beets were harvested from 23 thousand hectares; 952.8 thousand tons collected; average yield makes 41.42 MT/ha.

According to Soyuzrossahar, as of August 23, 2021, 16 sugar factories are in operation. As of August 23, total 978 thousand tons of sugar beet were harvested and 88 thousand tons of beet sugar were produced. Last year, as of this date, 1,137 thousand tons of beets were procured and 115 thousand tons of sugar produced.
