Export and import of molasses in January - December 2020 (FCS)

According to the analysis of customs declarations of FCS conducted by Sugar.ru, in December 2020 Russia has imported 2.7 thousand tons of molasses (HS code 1703). According to the results of 12 months of molasses import campaign, Russia has shipped in 3.9 thousand tons (in 2019 - 0.2 thousand MT; in 2018 - 0.0 thousand MT).
In the period January - December 2020, the main countries exporters of molasses to Russia were BELARUS (92.80%) and VIETNAM (7.20%).

In December 2020 Russia has exported 26.8 thousand tons of molasses. According to the results of 12 months of molasses export campaign, Russia has shipped out 710.4 thousand tons (in 2019 - 622.8 thousand MT; in 2018 - 785.9 thousand MT).
In the period January - December 2020, the main countries importers of molasses from Russia were TURKEY (46.35%) and SPAIN (15.44%).
