Export and import of white sugar in January - December 2020 (FCS)

According to the analysis of customs declarations of FCS conducted by Sugar.ru, in December 2020 Russia has imported 7.1 thousand tons of white sugar (HS code 170199). According to the results of 12 months of white sugar import campaign, Russia has shipped in 179.2 thousand tons (in 2019 - 299.0 thousand MT; in 2018 - 314.6 thousand MT).
In the period January - December 2020, the main countries exporters of white sugar to Russia were BELARUS (98.29%) and AZERBAIJAN (0.49%).

In December 2020 Russia has exported 35.5 thousand tons of white sugar. According to the results of 12 months of white sugar export campaign, Russia has shipped out 1030.2 thousand tons (in 2019 - 603.4 thousand MT; in 2018 - 335.8 thousand MT).
In the period January - December 2020, the main countries importers of white sugar from Russia were KAZAKHSTAN (23.56%) and UZBEKISTAN (22.71%).
