Export and import of white sugar in January - May 2020 (FCS)

According to the analysis of customs declarations of FCS conducted by Sugar.ru, in May 2020 Russia has imported 33.0 thousand tons of white sugar (HS code 170199). According to the results of 5 months of white sugar import campaign, Russia has shipped in 86.5 thousand tons (in 2019 - 173.9 thousand MT; in 2018 - 115.0 thousand MT).
In the period January - May 2020, the main countries exporters of white sugar to Russia were BELARUS (98.46%) and AZERBAIJAN (0.57%).

In May 2020 Russia has exported 164.7 thousand tons of white sugar. According to the results of 5 months of white sugar export campaign, Russia has shipped out 607.4 thousand tons (in 2019 - 84.2 thousand MT; in 2018 - 215.6 thousand MT).
In the period January - May 2020, the main countries importers of white sugar from Russia were KAZAKHSTAN (21.59%) and AZERBAIJAN (16.20%).
