RUSSIA
List of arbitration cases with the largest sugar companies and factories in the period July 15 – August 15, 2019. The limit of the claim amount is not less than 200 thousand rubles.

Cheremnovsky sugar factory has started processing sugar beets of a new crop. In the season of 2018 - 2019 the company processed over 800 thousand tons of beets and produced 138 thousand tons of refined sugar.

As of August 15, 2019 sugar beet was harvested from an area of 26.9 thousand ha or 2.4% of crop acreage (in 2018 - 8.4 thousand ha), 1.2 million tons of sugar beets collected (in 2018 – 272.3 thousand tons) at an average yield of 44.1 MT/ha (in 2018 – 32.61 MT/ha).
UKRAINE
Sugar beet harvest in the Cherkasy region is expected to reach 43.0 MT/ha and gross yield, taking into account area sown, within 360 thousand tons, the regional hydrometeorological center reports.
MOLDOVA
In the first half of 2019 Moldova exported 840 tons of sugar to the EU within a duty-free quota under the DCFTA (20%, the total quota volume is 4,200 tons of sugar), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova reports.
BELARUS
The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade set the price of gas for sugar factories at Br501.07 (about 15478 rubles at the rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation) for 1 thousand cubic meters with a consumption volume of up to 600 million cubic meters of natural gas per year.
