RUSSIA
According to the analysis of customs declarations of FCS conducted by Sugar.ru, in September 2018 Russia has exported 81.9 thousand tons of molasses. According to the results of 9 months of molasses export campaign, Russia has shipped out 509.7 thousand tons (in 2017 - 432.0 thousand MT; in 2016 - 282.1 thousand MT). In the period January - September 2018, the main countries importers of molasses from Russia were TURKEY (47.62%) and SPAIN (17.12%).

According to the quarterly report of Rusagro Group, in the first 9 months of 2018 the sales in sugar division of the company amounted to 17.7 billion rubles, gross profit - 4.78 billion rubles. During 9 months of 2018, the company made investments in the sugar segment totaling RUR 586 million.
Belarus
By November 14, 2018, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 98.8 thousand hectares or 100% of the area sown (in 2017 - 97 thousand hectares), Sugar.Ru was informed in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus. About 4774.7 thousand MT (in 2017 - 4857.3 thousand MT) of beets were collected, with an average yield of 48.34 MT/ha (in 2017 – 50.07 MT/ha). The beet sugar content in the republic is 16.96% versus 16.28% for the same date last year.
