Sugar imports and exports from Belarus for 11 months of 2017, Jan 23, 2018

RUSSIA

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated January 23, 2018, total 23 vessels have been nominated to carry 803520 MT of raw cane sugar in 2017/18 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 708020 MT from 20 vessels, based on Sugar.ru data.

BELARUS

According to the analysis of the data of the FCS of Belarus, for 11 months (January-November) 2017, imports of cane sugar (HS Code 170113 and 170114) amounted to 40.1 thousand tons and 106.0 thousand tons, the main suppliers were Brazil and Cuba. Another 12.8 thousand tons of beet raw was supplied by Russia. Export of white sugar (HS Code 170199) amounted to 368.0 thousand tons (114.10% compared to the same period in 2016); import - 56.7 thousand tons, almost all of Russian sugar. The main recipients of Belarusian sugar are Russia (204,000 tons), Ukraine (37,000 tons) and Kazakhstan (36,000 tons).

Import of other sugars (HS Code 1702) amounted to 14532.0 tons (102.90% against the same period in 2016), exports of molasses (HS Code 1703) - 50826.0 tons, imports of molasses - 11446.0 tons. Export of beet pulp (HS Code 230320) amounted to 52275.0 tons.
