According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the sugar beet was sown on the area of 652 700 hectares by April 21, 2016 or 61.6% of the forecast (in 2015 – 368 100 hectares).

Sugar beet was sown on the area of 64 210 hectares in the Tambov region by April 20 ( 60% of the plan).
UKRAINE
In March 2016 Ukraine has exported sugar for total value of 1.906 million dollars, while import has reached 0.171 million dollars, according to the State Fiscal Service.

According to the data of National Statistics Committee, in March 2016 the average consumer price for sugar reached 56.54 som / kg (-0.93% the previous month, -0.41% YTD and + 10.15% by March 2015 ).
