RUSSIA

Shareholders of “RusAgro” have approved an additional issue of up to 10 million shares in the form of global depositary receipts (GDR). Now the charter capital of “RusAgro” comprises 24 million ordinary shares with par value of € 0.01, one share is equal to five GDR. Thus, in the case of additional placement of 10 million shares the authorized capital of agricultural holding will grow by 41.7%.

According to report dated April 8, 2016 and issued by the Ministry of Agriculture, sugar beet was sown at an area of 257 100 ha or 24.3% of the forecast (in 2015 the progress by same day was 180.9 thousand hectares).

Farmers in Krasnodar region have seeded 178 600 hectares by April 11, 2016 against 179 060 hectares planned, according to Soyuzrossahar.

All farms of Stavropol region have completed sugar beet sowing campaign by April 11, 2016. The acreage sown exceeds 35 thousand hectares, the press service of the Governor informs.

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated April 12, 2016, total 13 vessels have been nominated to carry 453 300 MT of raw cane sugar in 2016 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 206 300 MT from 6 vessels, based on Sugar.ru data.

 

UKRAINE

According to the State Statistics Service, domestic sugar prices from producers have decreased by 0.3% in March 2016 and from the beginning of the year the decrease has made 0.5%.

The Ukrainian Government has allocated shares of national quota "A" between 44 sugar mills for the production and supply of sugar for the total volume of 1 670 000 MT in the period from September 01, 2016 to September 01, 2017, the press service of Ministry of Agrarian Policy informs.

BELARUS

According to the State Statistics Committee, the consumer prices for refined sugar have increased by 0.45% in Belarus in March 2016; from the beginning of the year the growth has made 9.14%.

KAZAKHSTAN

This year repairs are scheduled to start at Aksu sugar factory (Kazakhstan Almaty region) that was idle for almost a decade. According to provisional calculations the total investment will reach about 8 billion Tenge. Almost 20 per cent of the funding will be allocated from the regional budget.

MOLDOVA

The consumer prices for sugar have increased by 1.5% in March 2016, according to Statistics Committee, from the beginning of the year the prices have grown by 1.2%.
