According to the Union of Sugar Producers of Russia, from the beginning of the season and by November 9, 2015 Russian sugar industry has processed 23,857,300 tons of sugar beet and has produced 3,542,700 tons of white sugar. Wholesale price of sugar has not changed during the week November 3 to 9, retail price of sugar has decreased by 0.6%, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.In January-September 2015 the production volume of sugar has reached 2,344,400 tons. Volumes of import of raw sugar are 11.6% less in January - October 2015than the same period of 2014.
JSC "Valuykisahar" (owned by SC "Rusagro") has received net profit in the amount of 605.9 million rubles (RAS) in January-September 2015 against loss of 115.4 million rubles in 2014.
According to the local Agriculture Ministry of Stavropol region, "Stavropolsahar" has received 455,200 tons of sugar beet including 431,300 tons processed by November 13, 2015; sucrose content in beet makes average 15.6% from the beginning of harvest.
Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia has approved the purchase of 32% shares of "Razgulyay" by "Rusagro" agricultural holding controlled by Mr. Vadim Moshkovich.
By November 16 Tatarstan has completed harvesting sugar beets; bulk harvest makes 2.005 million tons, with an average yield of 34.5 MT/ha, according to the Ministry of Agriculture of Tatarstan.
According to the Agriculture Department of Belgorod region, sugar beet was harvested from 100% of the crop acreage by November 16; collected 2.498 million tons, including 2.1 mln tons of sugar beet dispatched to sugar mills, the average yield has made 37.8 MT/ha.
By November 13, Ukrainian farmers have harvested sugar beets from an area 218,000 ha (92% of total acreage). Bulk harvest makes 9.1 million tons, with yields of 41.9 MT/ha, delivered to sugar mills – 8.2 million tons, according to Agriculture Ministry.
Ministry of Agrarian Policy intends to apply to the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine to investigate the unreasonable increase of sugar prices.
Farmers of Zhambyl region in Kazakhstan will collect 65 thousand tons of sugar beet this year (4 times more than in 2014), Kazakh media reported.
According to the National Statistics Committee of Belarus, sugar production amounted to 145,500 tons in October 2015. In January-October 2015 industrial production of sugar amounted to 485,300 tons, which is 2.2% less than the same period in 2014
