RUSSIA

By October 29 sugar plants in Belgorod region have processed 1.57 million tons of sugar beet and have produced 237,000 tons of sugar. The content of sucrose in sugar beets is 18.3% average for the region, according to the regional department of agriculture.

GC "Rusagro" has published operational results for the first 9 months of 2015. Revenue from sugar business department for the first nine months of 2015 increased by 38% compared to 2014 to make RUR 22.94 billion vs. RUR 16.58 billion. Revenues in Q3 2015 have increased by 51% compared to Q3 2014 to reach RUR 8.66 billion. The total volume of sugar production amounted to 357,232 tons (-8% compared to 2014), including: beet sugar production – 174 170 tons; refined sugar production out of imported raws – 183 062 tons, sales volume – 586 418 tons.

"TransLogistik" has announced, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development agreed to fund a project to build a sugar factory in Novoaleksandrovsky district of Stavropol region, and despite sanctions against Russia, has agreed to issue a loan of € 200 million.
UZBEKISTAN

Enterprises of Uzbekistan have increased the volume industrial production by 22% in the first 9 months of 2015 compared to the same period of 2014, including confectionery products – by 78.8%, refined sugar – by 41%.
ARMENIA

Armenia imported 26 849 tons of sugar and raw sugar (HS code 1701) in September 2015for the total value of US$ 9 484 thousand, and 200 tons of other sugars (HS code 1702) the total value of US$ 120 thousand, according to the National Statistical Service.
