Znamensky sugar plant (Rusagro) has received a soft loan from Sberbank in amount of 820 million rubles for the project, including the capacity increase from 6 to 8 thousand tons of sugar beet processing per day, and the construction of branch of drying of sugar beet pulp and lines of desugarization molasses. The total cost of the project is 5 billion rubles.
In the Republic of Tatarstan, sugar beet was harvested from 87% of total acreage, harvesting is planned to be completed in the first decade of November, according to the Republican Ministry of agriculture. It is expected to collect about 2 million tons of sugar beet. The republic has processed 755 thousand tons of beets, and produced 110 thousand tons of sugar. The expected volume of sugar production is estimated in amount of 220 thousand tons.
"Food Company "Zorya Podillya" and "food company "Podillya" has received a record quota for sale of sugar within the country for the 2015/16 marketing year - 269 thousand tons (15% of the total quota for all producers). A bigger quota received only six factories of the group "Astarta-Kiev" owned by Viktor Ivanchik and Valery Korotkov - 353 thousand tons.
The average consumer sugar price has grown by 7.2% to UAH 14.39 / kg in a period from 9 to 20 October 2015, reports the State Statistics Service.
As of October 23, 2015, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 75.5 thousand hectares (76%).
