According to figures by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia updated on October 14, 2015, sugar beet was harvested from the area of 687,200 ha (67.7% of total acreage); bulk harvest makes 26.0 million tons with the average yield of 37.88 MT/ha. Wholesale price of sugar fell by 3.7%, retail - by 0.7% in a week October 6 to 12.
According to the Union of Sugar Producers of Russia, the country has processed 573.0 thousand tons of raw sugar and has produced 561,500 tons of white sugar from the beginning of the year.
According to the State Statistics Service, the average price for white sugar from manufacturers has added UAH 182.28 and has made UAH 8457.12 per metric ton in September 2015 (or RUR 24 314.05/MT at current exchange rates of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation).
As of October 16 the country has harvested sugar beets from an area of 122 thousand hectares (51%), collected about 4.8 million tons of sugar beet at average yield of 39.4 MT/ha; 4.2 million tons dispatched to processing capacities, according to Agriculture Ministry.
In January-September 2015 a decline of the national sugar production down to 273,800 tons was recorded, which is less by 5.8% compared to the same period in 2014, according to the State Committee of Statistics.
Turkmenistan has started harvesting sugar beet in late October. Annually beets are sown in the fields of the country in two periods – in spring and in summer (after wheat harvest). The total area of the beet fields in the country makes 17 900 hectares, it is planned to collect 224 000 ton of beet a year.

RUSSIA
According to the news from regional administration dated October 16:
- Republic of Bashkortostan harvested sugar beet from the area of 38 300 ha (76%). Average yieldsmake 25.3 MT/ha; bulk harvest has made 971 thousand tons including 643 thousand tons dispatched for processing with 302 thousand tons already processed.
- In Stavropol sugar beet was harvested from the area of 23 200 ha (74.0%), collected 1,137,800 tons with an average yield of 49.10 MT/ha; "Stavropolsahar" has received 329,100 tons sugar beetand has processed 310,200 tons of the volume. Sugar content from the beginning of harvesting season makes 15.4%.
- Sugar mills in Penza region have produced 106,000 tons of sugar;
- Farmers in Kursk region have cleared 73% of the beet acreage; yields make 39.0 MT/ha average.
