Russian, Ukrainian sugar news and transit data of white sugar across Russia to Kazakhstan, Oct 02, 2015

AgroHolding "Kuban" has brought the daily processing capacity of the sugar factory "Svoboda" to 5 500 tons of beet, which corresponds to 650 000 MT per season. By 2017, the DC on beet will increase to 7 000 MT of beet. Total volume of investment in the modernization project of the plant will exceed RUR 500 million in 2015, according to the company's website.
Tatarstan sugar plants have produced 61,700 tons of sugar out of a new crop. By October 1 sugar beet was harvested from the area of 31 600 ha (55% of total acreage).
According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Mordovia, sugar beets were harvested from an area of 19 799 hectares (80% of the plan) by October 2; bulk harvest makes 734 thousand tons, with average yield of 37.1 MT/ha.

 
Agricultural enterprises of Ukraine (excluding the Crimea and Sevastopol) have been selling sugar at an average of UAH 8105.1/MT excl. VAT in September (+ 16.2% from August values).
According to rail cargo monitoring by Sugar.Ru, volume of sugar delivered to Kazakhstan transit Russia by rail makes177 000 tons in January-September. The largest exporters of sugar to Kazakhstan are Moldova (55,700 tons) and Belarus (42.2 thousand tons).
