Consumer prices for sugar in Russia have not changed over the past week (September 15 – 21, 2015), Rosstat reported. From the beginning of the year the consumer price of sugar grew by 18.9%.
Agriholding “Razguliay” may be split between its main shareholder “AVG Capital Partners” fund and “Rusagro” owned by Vadim Moshkovich within a new joint venture to be created by the partners. In this case, “Rusagro” will receive sugar assets of “Razguliay”. In addition, assets of “Razguliay” attract “Prodimex” and, possibly, “Agrocomplex after N. Tkachev” controlled by relatives of the head of the Ministry of Agriculture Alexander Tkachev, says “Kommensant”. Representatives of Belgorod “Rusagro” have already entered the board of agricultural holding “Razguliay”, according to the report issued by “Razguliay”.
According to price monitoring by sugar.ru in the period September 17-24, 2015, the dollar exchange rate grew by 0.2% (on Sep 17 – 65.93 rubles / $; on Sept. 24 – 66.04 rubles/$). Moscow ruble price of sugar fell by RUR 1.20/kg (-2.86%), Krasnodar price fell by RUR 1.00/kg (-2.50%). Moscow US dollar equivalent price of sugar decreased by US$ 0.020/kg (-3.14%), in Krasnodar price dropped by US$ 0.016/kg (-2.64%).
Belarus imported 172 thousand tons of sugar in the solid state (HS code 1701) in January-July 2015, which is 19.8% less than in 2014. The total cost has made US$ 64 123 000.
