RUSSIA


According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia and regional administrations, sugar beet was harvested from an area of 330 thousand hectares (32.3%) by September 21, 2015. Bulk harvest makes 12.7 million MT with average yield of 38.51 MT/ha.

In Kursk region local farmers have collected the first million tons of sugar beet from 27,100 (28%) hectares harvested; the average yield in the region is 40.0 MT/ha.

In Krasnodar region the acreage harvested makes 78,300 hectares (51%) with more than 3.5 million tons of beet collected; average yields are about 46.0 MT/ha. Sugar factories in Krasnodar have received more than 4 million tons of sugar beet including 3.854 million tons already processed with 521,300 tons of sugar and 119,800 tons of dried pulp produced. The bulk volume of beet harvested in Lipetsk region has reached 1 million 029 thousand tons with an average local field yield of 36.2 MT/ha. Lipetsk farmers plan collecting four million tons of sugar beet this season.

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated September 22, 2015, total 32 vessels have been nominated to carry 1 042 630 MT of raw cane sugar in 2015 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 850 130 MT from 26 vessels, based on sugar.ru

UKRAINE

The national Association of Confectioners "Ukrkondprom" has urged the government to take action in response to the decision of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus to introduce obligatory sanitary-hygienic examination of imported goods, and therefore limiting the supply of Ukrainian goods for circulation on the market of Belarus starting from August 27, 2015.
