RUSSIA
According to the report dated August 31 by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, currently sugar beet is processed at 40 sugar plants: out of 3,261,500 tons processed they have produced 420 600 tons of refined sugar. Wholesale price of sugar has not changed for the week August 25 to 31; retail price has increased by 0.5%. By September 4, 2015 the country has harvested 5 million MT of sugar beet. The greatest contribution to the nationwide harvest of sugar beet was made agrarians of the Southern Federal District – 2.3 million MT (average yield – 44.33 MT/ha) and the Central Federal District – 1.8 mln MT of sugar beet (average yield of 34.82 MT/ha).

Sugar plants in Bashkortostan have launched juice extracting season. Chishminsky sugar factory was the first to start operation this season.

According to the regional agro-industrial department in Belgorod region, by September 7, sugar beet was harvested from 11% of the area (7 660 ha); collected 265,700 tons of beet including 225,200 tons of beet dispatched to sugar plants; the average yield makes 34.7 MT/ha.

Farmers in Tambov region have harvested 13,060 hectares of sugar beet (13% of the plan) by September 6. With the average yield of 37.0 MT/ha the volume of beet collected has reached 482,900 tons. The sugar mills have been supplied with 366,010 tons of beets.
ARMENIA
According to the National Statistical Service, the average consumer price of sugar fell by 2.3% in August 2015. On annual basis (August 2015 – August 2014) the consumer prices for sugar fell by 1.3%.
BELARUS
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, farmers have harvested 1.92 thousand hectares of sugar beet acreage (1.9%) by September 3. Total 34 thousand tons of sugar beet was delivered to beet accepting
ABKHAZIA
According to rail cargo monitoring data by Sugar.Ru, Abkhazia has received 3556 tons of white sugar in 8 months of 2015 delivered by rail transit Russia; the major supplier is Ukraine (2 201 tons).
