RUSSIA

By September 2, Krasnodar factories have processed over 2.3 million tons of sugar beet and have produced more than 300 thousand tons of sugar and more than 70 thousand tons of dried beet pulp, according to the regional Ministry of Agriculture.

The Russian consumer prices for sugar increased by 0.5% in the week of August 25 to 31 2015; while from the beginning of the year (from the end of December 2014.) the prices grew by 17.3%, according to Rosstat.

According to price monitoring by sugar.ru, the dollar exchange value has dropped by RUR 3.8 in the period from August 27 to September 3, 2015 (on Aug. 27 the rate was US$ 1= RUR 69.31; on Sep 03 US$ 1= RUR 66.68). Moscow RUR price of sugar fell by RUR 1.40/kg (-3.11%), Krasnodar price fell by RUR 0.30 /kg (-0.71%). Moscow US dollar equivalent price of sugar rose by $ 0.005/kg (+ 0.77%), in Krasnodar price grew by $ 0.019/kg (+ 3.14%).

KAZAKHSTAN

According to railway statistics by Sugar.Ru, 164.3 thousand metric tons of white sugar was delivered to Kazakhstan by rail transit Russia in 8 months of 2015, including 2,000 tons of Russian sugar. The main volume was supplied from Moldova - 54.8 thousand metric tons (including 1 thousand metric tons of Romanian sugar).

According to the Kazakh Statistics Agency, the price of sugar by manufacturers rose by 1.2%, in August 2015, while from the beginning of the year have decreased by 6.9%.

MOLDOVA

According to the National Bureau of Statistics of Moldova, the value of exports of goods listed under category “sugar, sugar products and honey” has made US$ 29 mln in January-June 2015, which is 4.8% less than in 2014, imports have reached US$ 5.1 million, which is 37.3% less than in the 2014.

Weather service of Moldova has adjusted the forecast of sugar beet yields to 22.0-25.0 MT / ha (average yield over the past 10 years – 31.0 MT / ha). The acreage under sugar beet in the country makes total 21.9 thousand ha, which is 21.1% less than in 2014, and the harvest of sugar beet is expected to reach 481,8-547,5 thousand MT.

BELARUS

The country has started processing sugar beet crop in season 2015, according to "Belsahar."
