RUSSIA
The department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service Office in Sverdlovsk region has fined JSC "Tander" (trade network "Magnit") for total amount of RUR 100 thousand, as JSC "Tander" has failed to explain and justify the growth of sugar in January 2015.

According Soyuzrossakhar, the dynamics of sugar beet development in Russia by July 21, 2015 looks as follows: root mass -256 grams (289 grams in 2014; in 2013 - 283 grams), sugar content - 11.4% (in 2014 - 12.8% in 2013 - 12.4%).

In the period July 14 – 20, 2015 the Russian consumer prices for sugar have increased by 1%, according to Rosstat. From the beginning of the year the price for sugar grew by 10.3%.

According to price monitoring sugar.ru, in the period July 16-23, 2015 the dollar exchange rate rose by 0.6% (on July 16 US$ 1=RUR 56.66; on July 23 - US$ 1=RUR 57.02). Moscow ruble price of sugar rose by 1.10 rubles/kg (+2.49%), Krasnodar price rose by RUR 0.60/kg (+1.41%). Moscow US dollar equivalent price of sugar has added US$ 0.014/kg (+ 1.79%), Krasnodar price grew by US$ 0.006 /kg (+ 0.80%).
BELARUS
According to the National Statistics Committee of Belarus, the country has exported 174 thousand tons of sugar in the solid state (HS code 1701) in January-May 2015, which is 11.9% less than last year's volume. The total cost is equal to US$ 102,669 thousand. The bulk of exports went to Russia - more than 83 thousand tons. In addition, during the same period Belarus has exported 48,472 tons of molasses for total US$ 2 823 thousand. The largest recipient was Lithuania - 25.1 thousand tons. Exports of sugar beet pulp amounted to 26.4 thousand tons.
KAZAKHSTAN
National volume of production of goods from category “raw sugar or refined sugar; cane or beet sugar; molasses” has amounted to 58.08 tons in Kazakhstan in January-June 2015, which is 3.1 times more than it was in May (18.97 tons), the Statistics Agency has informed. In January-June 2015 the production of this category has reached 150,320 tons, which is 10.8% less than in 2014.
