RUSSIA

According to the press service of "Razguliay" group, the volume of sugar production in 2014 has made 317,000 tons, which is only 3% less than in 2013; meanwhile white sugar output index (production yield) for the year has grown from 13% to 14.8%. Sales volume of sugar in 2014 has remained at the level of 2013 and has reached 302 thousand tons. The company has allotted over 50 thousand hectares to grow sugar beet in 2015.

About 2.5 billion rubles will be earmarked for modernization of Olymsky and Tetkinsky sugar factories this year.

Over the past week (May 6 – 12, 2015) the Russian consumer price of sugar fell by 0.4%, according to Rosstat. From the beginning of the year the price of sugar rose by 12.6%.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture report dated May 14, 2015 sugar beet was planted on an area of 955,600 ha or 97.5% of the forecast (in 2014 the progress was 876,900 hectares).

 

UKRAINE

According to railway statistics by Sugar.Ru, Ukraine has delivered 59,025 tons of white sugar to CIS countries transit Russia, of which 79% went to Kyrgyzstan, from the beginning of the year and by May 10. Deliveries to Kazakhstan have made total 5 415 tons.

MOLDOVA

According to the National Bureau of Statistics of the Republic of Moldova consumer prices for sugar increased by 1.6% in April 2015; from the beginning of the year the increase of consumer price has made 9%.
