RUSSIA

In the Republic of Tatarstan, as of September 1, sugar beet was harvested from 3.4 thousand hectares (6.7% of total crop acreage); 63.6 thousand tons of beet collected; average yield makes 18.62 MT/ha (in 2020, on the same date – 43.44 MT/a).

The Rusagro group of companies has started the sugar beet processing season - on September 1, the first two factories were launched in the Tambov and Belgorod regions. Over the next few weeks, it is planned to launch the rest of Rusagro's sugar refineries

On August 31, 2021, 5 sugar contracts were sold at NTB. The total volume of sales has made 600 MT at the average price of RUR 44367/MT (US$603,02/MT at the exchange rate of CBR on date indicated). Trading session closed at $603.47/MT (CFO), $602.11/MT (YFO).

UKRAINE

Sugar production in Ukraine is expected to reach 1.4 million tons in the 2021/2022 marketing year, which is 30% more than in MY 2020/2021. Taking into account the significant carryover stocks (422 thousand tonnes) at the beginning of the last MY, the total sugar supply will amount to 1.74 million tonnes, which will be quite enough to meet the domestic demand, the volume of which is estimated at around 1.25 million tonnes, Ukrtsukor reports. "

KYRGYZSTAN

Temporary state regulation of prices for granulated sugar was terminated on August 25, 2021, the State Anti-Monopoly Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic informs.

BELARUS

The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission agreed to extend the period of state regulation of prices for socially significant goods in the Republic of Belarus until December 31, 2021 inclusive, including prices for refined white sugar.
