RUSSIA
The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia has introduced to the Government a draft resolution providing limitations for the state procurement of imported food, including sugar.

The Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Kursk region has opened a criminal case on tax evasion in especially large amounts (under paragraph 2 of Article 199 of the Criminal Code, which envisaged up to six years of imprisonment) against "volga-Kurs", a company was declared bankrupt in March this year. The amount of unpaid taxes was estimated at RUR 10.8 million.

"Mega" company from Voronezh has acquired the property of one of the main assets of the Kazakhstan holding "Ivolga" in the Kursk region, namely LLC "Sugar Zolotukhino" (sugar factory in the district Zolotukhinsky) at a starting price of RUR 1.8 billion.

According to the data of regional price monitoring by Sugar.ru in the period from March 24 to March 31, 2016, the US dollar exchange rate has remained actually unchanged (on March 24 US$ 1=RUR 67.64; on March 31 US$ 1=RUR 67.61). Moscow RUR price of sugar grew by RUR 0.30/kg (+0.72%), in Krasnodar price fell by RUR 0.20/kg (-0.49%). US dollar equivalent price of sugar has added US$ 0.005/kg (+0.81%) in Moscow, in Krasnodar price has decreased by US$ 0.002/kg (-0.33%).
UKRAINE
The Board of Directors of Ukrainian agricultural holding "Astarta" has offered shareholders to refrain from paying dividends and leave the income for 2015 totalling € 15.94 million retained.
BELARUS
Belarus has set the limit for the maximum procurement price for crop production, purchased for government needs in 2016 season. The price of 1 ton of sugar beet is set at Br 650-519 thousand (substandard/standard). Last year the price for one metric ton was Br 535 thousand and Br427 thousand respectively.
ARMENIA
Armenia has imported 223 tons of sugar and raw sugar (HS code 1701) valued at US$ 212 400; and 201 tons of other sugars (HS code 1702) for the total value of US$ 118,200 in February of 2016, according to STATCOM of Armenia.
