RUSSIA
Group of companies "Rusagro" has published the results of operation in 2015. Sugar segment sales amounted to RUR 32.9 billion (+46% compared to 2014), total income has made RUR 224 million (-40% compared to 2014); the volume of sugar production has made 766 thousand tons (+7% vs. 2014); sugar beet manufacture volume made 582 thousand tons (+17% compared to 2014), the average sale price of sugar – RUR 40.4/kg without VAT (+42% compared to 2014). The volume of investments in sugar segment has grown to RUR 2.9 billion in 2015 from RUR 1.6 billion in 2014.

Belgorod Group of companies "Rusagro" has signed an agreement to acquire the three sugar factories in Orel and Kursk regions, including Kshensky sugar mill, “Krivets-sugar” and sugar mill “Otradinsky”, as well as 86,000 hectares of land earlier owned by “Razgulyay”.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Russia has sown sugar beet on an area of 8 900 hectares by March 25, 2016.

According to the analysis of the FCS customs declarations for February 2016, Russia has imported 4.0 thousand tons of white sugar from countries outside the Customs Union. By the end of 2 months of 2016 the imports of white sugar to Russia have reached 7.9 thousand tons (in 2015 – 7 600 tons, in 2014 – 8 700 tons). Most of this imported sugar was delivered to Kaliningrad. The main countries to export sugar to Russia are Poland (56.20%) and Brazil (27.26%) compared to Poland and Lithuania in 2015. The largest importers of white sugar are companies "Rostrading" (27.00%) for 2 months, and LLC "Baltoptprodtorg" (24.80%) and substituting "Megabalt" LLC from the second place occupied by the latter last year.
Russia exported 300 tons of white sugar to countries outside the Customs Union in February 2016. By the end of 2 months of 2016, the export of white sugar from Russia has made 0.4 thousand tons (in 2015 - 0.2 thousand tons, in 2014 – 0.3 thousand tons).
UKRAINE
The reduction of sugar prices has continued and amounted to 2.72% for the week (March 16-23) in Ukraine. Wholesale selling values range UAH 13200-13600/MT as of March 25.

The 4 regions of Ukraine have started sowing sugar beet with 4 thousand hectares seeded by March 25, which makes 2% of the forecast, according to Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
BELARUS
The national stocks of sugar in Belarus have made 152 000 tons on March 1, 2016, which is 12.6% less than on February 1, 2016, according to STATCOM.
