RUSSIA
Consumer prices for commodities from “sweet” category of food – sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and sweets – have increased by 1.2% in Russia in February 2016, according to Rosstat.
KAZAKHSTAN
The building for the new sugar factory is ready to receive the equipment. After solving the financial issues, it will be imported from China. Director General of contractor company, Mr Gyudzhin Hu has noted that commissioning will be completed by October. The start of the plant is scheduled for 2017.
UKRAINE
The State Reserve of Ukraine has dismissed Roman Zadorozhny from the post of director of Ivankovsky plant by stating systematic failure to submit financial statements and the growth of wage arrears. Vladimir A. Romanuk, ex-deputy chief engineer of the plant, was appointed acting Director.

Agrarians of Ukraine have started seeding sugar beet, according to the Ministry of Agriculture. Total acreage to be sawn with sugar beet is anticipated to make total 268.8 thousand hectares in Ukraine in 2016 season.
BELARUS
Mass early sowing of spring crops will start in Brest region of Belarus on March 28, according to the regional administration. Sugar beet will occupy a projected area of 20 thousand hectares this season.
