In the Krasnodar region the area sown with sugar beet will reach 163 thousand hectares in 2016 (+4.5% to 2015), reports the regional Ministry of Agriculture.

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated March 9, 2016, total 51 vessel(s) have been nominated to carry 1679800 mt of raw cane sugar in 2015/2016 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. As of today, the volume received and unloaded makes 1458800 mt from 45 vessel(s), based on Sugar.ru data.
UKRAINE
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine suggests the Parliament to approve the bill №4172 - “On the Invalidation of some laws of Ukraine on state regulation of production and sale of sugar”. The document was registered in Parliament on February 29,2016.

In 2015, the average trade price of sugar beet has made UAH 788.6 per ton (excluding VAT, subsidies, transport, freight and overhead costs.) in Ukraine, the State Statistics Service reports.
