Shamil Mingazov, General Director of "Zainsky sugar" plant, has announced that about 360 million rubles will spend for the modernization of the company in 2016, and the volume of produced sugar will increase by more than 12 percent to 145 thousand tons per year.

Rusagro has launched a plant on desugarization molasses in Znamenskoye district (Tambov region) in commissioning mode. The plant processing capacity is about 100 thousand tons of molasses per year, which will facilitate production of up to 40 thousand tons of sugar per year.

According Statistics Committee of Belarus, sugar production in the country amounted to 20.4 thousand tons in January 2016, which is 64% less than in January 2015
KAZAKHSTAN
According the Statistics Committee of Kazakhstan, sugar and molasses increased by 113.51% in January 2016 and has made 35,472 tons (in 2015 – 16 614 tons, in 2014 – 25 787 tons)
UKRAINE
As of February 16, the volume of exports from Ukraine to the EU has made 12.4 thousand tons of sugar or 62% of the annual quota of 20.07 thousand tons, according to Ukrainian club of agrarian business.
KYRGYZSTAN
According to the Ministry of Economy, the average price of sugar in the Kyrgyz Republic decreased by 1.85% in January.
