RUSSIA

According to the figures by Williams Brasil dated February 16, 2016, total 49 vessels have been nominated to carry 1 620 800 MT of raw cane sugar in 2015/2016 season from Brazilian seaports to the Black/Baltic seaports with end-receivers in CIS, Georgia and Baltic states. Timashevsky sugar factory (Krasnodar region) is scheduled to resume operation after being suspended since year of 2013. It is planned that this year, the factory will process 5-5.5 thousand tons of sugar beet per day.

According to horticulture Center in the Republic of Bashkortostan, farmers of the region have procured 3,200 seed units of sugar beet by February 12.

 

KAZAKHSTAN

Kazakhstan based "Ivolga-Holding" has agreed with the Eurasian Development Bank (the Bank) to restructure the company’s debts, according to Mr. Archimed Mukhambetov, akim (governor) of Kustanay region. In July 2011, EDB has ensured credit line in the amount of US $ 80 million in the name of LLP "Ivolga-Holding", for the period until August 20, 2014. The debts were not paid in due course of time as was stipulated by the loan agreement. The main activities of "Ivolga-Holding" include the production of high-quality wheat, sugar beet, vegetables, dairy and meat products, bread and bakery products, as well as agricultural machinery, spare parts, electrical and grain silos equipment.
