RUSSIA
More than three hundred workers of "Sergachsky sugar plant" were deliberately sent to an “administrative vacations” for the period February 1 to March 31, 2016. The regional administration is negotiating issue with the factory owners in order to stabilize the situation. As of today the factory was cut off gas supply for the debts.
UKRAINE
Sudzucker Moldova has processed 379.1 thousand tons of sugar beet and has produced 53.6 thousand tons of beet sugar in 2015, said Alexander Koss, Speaker of the Board of Sudzucker Moldova; the C.E.O. believes that "this is a very good result, given the extremely difficult weather conditions of last year, and a record low amount of precipitation, in particular".
BELARUS
According to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the consumer prices for sugar in Belarus have increased by 6.75% in January 2016.
