Russian import of sugar from non-CIS countries has reached the value of US$ 16 million in January 2016, according to figures by the Federal Customs Service of the Russian.

A draft of the bill which involves the introduction of tax on chips and soda was suggested to the State Duma for the second time. Earlier, the government has provided a negative feedback on the draft document.

The company "Konyok-Gorbunok" has bought the sugar factory "Kommunar" from GC "Prodimex Holding"; the enterprise is located in Belovo District of Kursk region.
UKRAINE
According to the report issued by the State Service statistics, the consumer price of sugar rose by 0.4% in January 2016, and year on year (January 2016 to January 2015) price rise has made 67.3%.
