RUSSIA
According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the national sugar industry has processed 37.6 million MT of beets and has made over 5 million tons of sugar by January 25 in 2015/16 MY. The total volume of sugar produced in Russia in calendar year 2015 has made 5,742,500 tons of sugar, including 5.1473 million tons of beet sugar. Wholesale price of refined sugar increased by 3.3%, retail - by 1% in the period January 19 – 25, 2016.

According Soyuzrossakhar, Russia has produced 5.145 million tons of beet sugar by February 1, 2016; the final volume of manufacture for the Marketing Year will make around 5.23 million tons.
THE CUSTOMS UNION
In February 2016 the duty on raw sugar imported to the Customs Union will not change and will be set at US$ 203/MT; though in March 2016 the fee shall increases to make US$ 240/metric ton.
UKRAINE
"Agrarian Fund" begins commodity interventions of sugar from the state intervention fund at a maximum of intervention price, as approved by the resolution No 292 by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine dated 29.07.2015.
