The auction for the sale of the company "Kuban Girey sugar (Girkubs)" will be held on February 5 at the electronic marketplace "Verdikt". The starting price of "Girkubs" is set to RUR 2.1 billion. The structure of a single lot includes land (RUR 80 million), buildings (RUR 128 mln), accounts receivable (RUR 306 million), transport equipment and other assets. In the last two seasons the company is rented to LLC "Giray-sugar", associated with the VKB holding, which is considered the main contender for the purchase of an asset.

According to provisional figures of Ministry of Agriculture, Russia has harvested 37.6 million MT of sugar beet in 2015 (in 2014 – 33.5 million MT), from which will produce more than 5 million MT of beet sugar.
