Group of Companies "ASB" has begun site preparation for the construction of a new plant for the production of sugar in the city of Kirsanov Tambov region. The construction site is situated next to the existing sugar factory "Crystal". Construction companies should begin activities in the first half of 2016, total volume of investment in the construction project will exceed RUR 20 billion. The commissioning period is projected for 2021.
According to Rosstat, consumer prices for sugar in Russia decreased by 0.9% in December 2015; from the beginning of 2015 the prices have increased by 12.9% total.
According to rail cargo monitoring data by Sugar.Ru, Russian sugar exports by rail amounted to 8609 tons in 2015.

According to the National Statistics Committee of Belarus, the average consumer price of sugar has made 14 057 Belarus rubles per 1 kg in December 2015 (around RUR 56.42/kg at the current rate of the Central Bank of Russian Federation), which is Br. 611 higher than a month ago.
